Candidates we support
Protecting democracy requires more than showing up on Election Day. It means supporting leaders who are committed to free and fair elections, accountable government, equal representation, social justice, and the rights of every Arkansan to participate in our democracy.
The candidates highlighted below align with NWA Community Hub's values. Our support is based on those principles, not simply on party affiliation.
We encourage every voter to learn about the candidates, understand what's on their ballot, and make an informed choice.

- NWA Community Hub is a community-led, independent organization in Northwest Arkansas. The support on this page is ours, not a party's.
- What we look for
- Candidates committed to free and fair elections, accountable government, equal representation, social justice, and the right of every Arkansan to take part in our democracy.

- Support is decided by NWA Community Hub against the principles above, not by party affiliation.
- What this page is not
- Not your full ballot and not a party slate. A few races list more than one candidate because the race is contested and we want you to see it. Always confirm your own ballot before you vote.

The four Arkansas ballot issues
Four statewide measures go to voters on November 3. Every Arkansan votes on all four, whatever else is on your ballot. Each one below links to the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture's neutral summary, plus reporting that digs into what it would actually do.
Issue 1
The Citizens Only Voting Amendment
Changes how the constitution defines who is eligible to vote in Arkansas.
The Arkansas Constitution already restricts the right to vote to U.S. citizens who are residents of Arkansas. The amendment changes a few words but makes no substantive changes. So why propose the amendment at all? Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families
Issue 2
The Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Would add that the right covers ammunition, firearm accessories and firearm components "without limitation," and call it a natural, fundamental and individual right that shall not be infringed. A no vote keeps the current provision, which reads that citizens "shall have the right to keep and bear arms, for their common defense."
The extreme and absolute language of the amendment could create unintended consequences. By using absolute language this amendment could make it harder to enforce laws that protect law abiding citizens from criminals and those who abuse their rights. Issue 3
Economic development districts
Would let the legislature create economic development districts within cities, counties or shared areas, and provide programs, loans and grants using public money to promote development inside them.
Issue 4
Water, waste disposal and pollution abatement bonds
The Arkansas Water, Waste Disposal, and Pollution Abatement Facilities Financing Act of 2025. Would authorize issuing up to $500 million in bonds for water, waste disposal and pollution abatement facilities.
